I think the Toshiba is more portable than the Iomega, not to mention that Toshiba has a better reputation for quality. (But, hey, I can snark with the best of them, too!)

Nothing. One is built with shock protection in mind. Hardened hard drives tend to be last generation tech taken to a new rugged level. Just don't bump that desktop unit or you'll discover just how catastrophic a data loss can be...
