I Am Conflicted
Shopping at Costco today I saw a set of cedar planks for grilling. I've heard good things about planked fish but I have no direct experience with it. Does anyone know anything about planking? Any good stories? I'm not inclining toward buying these but it did leave me wondering.

Got a plank for a present once. Fish cooked on in seemed underdone and had an odd cedar flavor. Maybe I did it wrong, or it's an acquired taste, but I wasn't impressed....
My disinclination to get planks grows.
Be sure to garnish with mothballs..
Yeah, well, those moths are too tiny to dissect anyway.
